Three Ways to Make Your Move Easy
Moving is stressful.
Between the packing, any needed paperwork, and booking movers, the last week or two can be quite a bit to handle. As moving pros, we wanted to shed some light on how to make the process simple.
Tip #1 Call CVS, Target, and your local grocery store.
Buying boxes adds up. However, if you call local stores a week or two ahead of your move, they are often more than willing to give you their boxes for free. This means they don’t have to break the boxes down and you don’t have to spend more on a process that’s already expensive. Bonus: you can also wrap plenty of breakable items in the free coupon newsletters at each place. Grab them when you go to get the boxes for your move.
Tip #2 Buy extras
When it comes to packing materials, more is better. There’s little worse than packing late into the night only to find out that you can’t close your boxes and finish because you didn’t buy enough tape. Remember - you can always return tape, but you can’t always buy it at midnight.
Tip #3 Find a licensed and insured mover
This may seem a little self serving considering Making Your Move Easy is both of these things, but we cannot stress the importance enough. It’s imperative that your belongings are protected and that you have recourse for any actions that could prevent a successful move.
